HOORAY, friends and clients, we are moving forward!
As of June 19, 2020, WA State has amended rules for Wedding Receptions and Funerals/Memorial Receptions.
Starting with (current) Pierce County Phase 2, gatherings in indoor spaces are allowed with up to 25% of the room’s capacity or up to 200 guests, whichever is less, as long as 6 feet of physical distancing can be achieved between households. Note that households (family that live together) may be seated together, otherwise the 6 foot distancing must be maintained.
Additional requirements for such events: the room/space must have a dedicated outdoor entrance/exit and have restrooms. Food service must comply with current phase guidance. At this point, that means no self-service, buffets or salad/dessert bars.
These amended rules do not include rehearsal dinners, showers, engagement parties or other social events.
How will these changes affect your Wedding Reception or Memorial Receptions? It will depend on the individual venue – their capacities and procedures. Snuffin’s Catering will be working closely with all of our venues as we go forward. We expect to have further guidance and possible changes depending on where we are in the COVID 19 pandemic.
It’s been such a hardship for families not to be able to celebrate their loved ones and for couples having to change or postpone their Wedding Celebrations. We will continue to be flexible with your scheduling and any necessary changes in your guest count, menu and other items.
