Event Staff

We are proud of our professional and courteous party staff and the outstanding service they give to you and your guests! Many clients write or e-mail us following their event to tell us of the wonderful service they received from our staff. Snuffin’s Catering servers are polite and pleasant at all times. We have a well established reputation in the Tacoma catering field for excellence and professionalism of our service staff.

We train all Snuffin’s Catering workers in proper food handling and sanitation practices. Our kitchen as well as our party staff wear gloves at all times when preparing your food. Our owner, Sharon Snuffin, is currently chairman of the Food Advisory Board for the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

The number of servers required for your event will depend on your number of guests, the menu you choose, and any special circumstances. Staff costs for weddings also will depend on the length of your reception. In general, the cost for each staff member will range from about 185.00  to 200.00 for a short, afternoon event, to 240.00 or more for longer events. Staff hours are billed portal to portal.

Gratuities are left to your discretion. You may choose to give a percentage of the total, or an amount for each staff member. Gratuities may be added to your payment, or given to staff members the day of your event. Average gratuities range from 60.00 to 75.00 per staff member.

Each catered event is different! Once you meet with one of our professional event planners, you will receive an itemized estimate including number of staff and estimated staff hours based on your needs and choices.
